Need more than opinions, please applly..

Vasabjit Banerjee, a student in the United States, feels that there are large gaps in US perceptions about a lot of things in India and  similar is the case with Indians about a lot of things Western. One of the problems in India, according to him, is the poor quality of the  academia in India. Academics serve a critical function in informing society about issues both  domestic and foreign. If the academic institutions  are weak then perception gaps are bound to be wide. A lot of focus therefore needs to given at the academic level and there should be programmes  to improve their systems and standards.
Our  Comments: That view would be disputed by Indian academics! But anything that strengthens institutions are to be welcomed.

Gagan Deep, a Ghaziabad based businessman, writes asking us to provide names and addresses of export consultants in New York and other major cities in the United States.
Our reply: Yes, we plan to add all that but information costs money to collect and organise. Chances are we would like viewers to pay for this kind of information and would like feedback from other viewers on this and the other services they migh be willing to pay for.
