Our Mission

The objective is to create a forum for building synergies amongst democracies in the post 9/11 global order. While there is a consensus on combating terrorism and forging a global alliance of like-minded nations, a perception gap between people in the world's democracies remain, preventing them from acting in grand concert. This website will try to bridge that gap by attempting a variety of things including establishing a knowledge bank on various aspects of India's relations with the world's democracies. It would also try to act as an online resource centre for people wishing to learn more about India and its place in the order of global democracy.

There would also be an underlying emphasis on the security of democracies, the threat of global terrorism and the battle against ideologies that seek to create dissension and division. Business is an important imperative, determining global equations. This site will therefore focus on business and economic ties in order to deepen and bind India's destiny with Western democracies.

groupsil02Who Are We?
The persons behind this web site are driven by a common objective: the urgent need to develop synergies with democracies and promote mutual understanding of various problems.

In May 2004, a group of individuals came together and decided that one way to promote understanding between India and other democracies would be to float a web site. These individuals together fund this site and invite contributions from like minded individuals. For more details on joining this group or making donations please email us at join@icfdc.com and we shall get in touch with you.

Big Aims

torch02We Need Your Feedback!
This is an experimental site. We need feedback to make it work. The idea is to make it a major online resource on India-US and India-UK relations, as well as India's relationship with other democracies. This site will also have an ideological face and will try to promote democratic ideas. The other main thrust area would be business and economics - the dynamics of which are increasingly defining international relations.
