Status Report for Members A meeting was held on Thursday 26 August, 04 to brainstorm on how the web site can be made relevant to user groups in the West and in India. The following ideas emerged from the meeting: - Initially the focus should be on Indo-US relations and gradually this focus could be extended to other partners, such as the EU.
- Directories and listings of consultants (both in India and US) should be developed.
- Visa information details should be provided on the site and useful information, particularly in the context of expatriates who are coming into India and who would need advice on cultural issues, city based information about schools, hospitals, best localities to rent/buy a house, etc. A hospitality/orientation package/workshop could be developed to cater to the needs of such people.
