One of our aims in floating this web site is to provide a one-stop resource for a variety of people who might want India information and pointers on whom to meet for different jobs. The kind of people we would like to help would include people from the democratic countries who would like to do business with India, researchers who might wish to find out more about India, journalists looking for names and addresses and charities who might wish to find target groups. Every city in India has at least one university and large faculties. MOst universities today have a web site. It is recommended that you write directly to the universities. Business: India has a number of trade and commercial associations, the best known of which include the CII (Confederation of Indian Industry), FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) and the PHDCCI (Punjab, Haryana & Delhi Chambers of Commerce & Industry). Government: The Indian government has more than 30 major ministries and scores of departments. For businessmen the best bet is to approach the local Indian embassy and seek guidance and appointments.
